Dear God,

Thank you for taking me out of my comfort zone when all I wanted to be was comfortable. Thank you for not only stopping there, but making me comfortable where I am currently. Thank you for giving me strength. Thank you for believing in me when I didn’t believe in myself. Thank you for the ways you’ve already began to use me. I look at the beautiful mountains of Quito and pray I never get use to this view. I look into the faces of strangers on the bus as the reach out to me with kindness and know I never want to lose sight of the tenderness of humanity and of the good in people,  Jesus help me always see the good in people. I look at the wall we are building to protect the girls who have been rescued from sex trafficking and pray I never lose sight of why I’m doing this. I pray I never miss home “too” much because my relationships are in the hands of the Creator and there’s not a safer place they could be. I pray I never go a day without being thankful because I’m blessed beyond belief. God never let me overlook the shoe shine boys who would do anything to earn money or even the starving pregnant dogs searching for any food they can get. God continue to open my eyes to the see the things you see. Give me your eyes so I can see everything that I keep missing. I see you moving God please continue to move through this country and through me and my friends. Wreck me for the ones forgotten and hurting. Help me never be too selfish that I miss people that need to hear and experience you.

In Your Name I Pray,

Amen
