happy late thanksgiving!!

i wanted to dedicate this blog to thank the people who helped get me here. to the people who supported me through prayer and financially, thank you times a million! to everyone who donated no mater how big or small,  i honestly can’t thank you enough for your generous donations, it matters and makes more of an impact than you could ever realize. i love getting to update y’all via this blog, instagram, facebook, snapchat etc on how God is using me to spread His kingdom and how with your prayers and financial support you’re as well. i can whole heartedly say i know i am exactly where i need to be. every single day without fail the Lord makes that SO evident! so, thank you thank you thank you!! i pray for blessings over each and everyone of you and i want you to know your prayers and donations are never brushed aside. i am in constant awe that so many people supported me in stepping outside my comfort zone and believed in me when it was hard for me to believe in myself. i swear i’ve never felt so much peace than i have these past few months, and for those of you who know me well know that leaving home was HARD. i want you to know i feel your prayers and it continues to bring me so much comfort and support.

thanks again, i love you all to heaven and back!

so now for an update on how my thanksgiving went. it was obviously really different compared to how i usually celebrate. in the morning i woke up and helped out at the preschool i’m living at. however, it wasn’t a typical school day because it was the celebration of the school’s anniversary, which in peru is a very big deal there’s a whole week dedicated to it. several parades and competitions with the whole family and staff took place throughout the week. thursday morning i participated in the eating contest against the teachers and we did tug of war and bagged candy and popcorn for every student. after eating lunch and getting to facetime our families back home we headed down town to where the church we are apart of is. the people who attend the church all came together to celebrate with us. we ate so much Papa John’s pizza (SO thankful for Papa John’s, and who knew peru had a Papa John’s) and ate some delicious homemade peruvian dishes while we watched the apostle paul movie in spanish. yes, it wasn’t your typical thanksgiving and it was kinda hard being away from home on this holiday for the first time ever but i can’t even begin to explain how blessed and grateful i am for this family who does life with me and the peruvians who came together to make this holiday that they don’t even celebrate special for us.

i hope you all had an amazing thanksgiving with your loved ones and some really good food (america i miss your food)!! i encourage you to not just let thanksgiving be a time of reflection on the things you’re thankful for but also take the time throughout each day to stop and realize how good our God is and how blessed you are.

thank you for like the hundredth time, you guys mean the world to me!
