Today is September 15th I got to Quito Ecuador 4 days ago. I can’t even begin to express the immense amount of joy I have. Such pure joy. I love this country. I love this city. I love these people. I love all these dogs! i’m so ready to serve the people of Ecuador these next two months. Right now I’m working with a ministry who takes in girls/women who have been apart of sex trafficking. These girls they serve and help start as young as 9 years old! In Quito there are some organizations who take in girls but are only able to help them for 3 months which with what these girls have gone through is not enough time to recover and process and learn the life skills they need to be successful in society. This ministry also takes in babies that the girls have had. prostitution is legal in Quito and this is contributing to the severity of this issue. Right now we are making a brick wall around the 10 acre property to protect the girls from pimps trying to get them back. yesterday we made cement by hand (I’m so sore but still so happy and ready to keep going). I love the heart behind this organization and I’m so blessed to be living here and serving others. thanks to everyone who has supported me and thank you for giving me this opportunity to be used in such a BIG way!
